PC & Server installation

This is a complete service, from unpacking and plugging in your PC to setting-up internet access, configuring your email, security and printer connections. The Server install also includes multiple user administration and a compatible supplied LAN switch.

Many basic system problems stem from systems that have been set up incorrectly. While not immediately apparent, problems can manifest themselves later in unrelated ways. We can help you set up your new PC, laptop or server, right out of the box.

PC & Server Install - What you get

Basic PC Install
As part of your basic PC setup, the engineer will:

As part of your basic server setup, complete with Licensing management and Patch management, the engineer will:
Unpack
Assemble
Plug & Power Up
Run Default O/S install/Start-up
Configure detail O/S security feature with defaults safe settings e.g. XP firewall
Set-up one user account
Connect & configure to connect to Internet via modem or router using your ISP or Wireless
Set-up one pop3 email account on outlook or outlook express
Connection and set-up of printing to one printer
Basic tutorial on use of all of the above is included as standard

Run Default O/S install/Start-up set-up to default settings e.g. DHCP, Default internal IP addressing schemes

Set-up 5 user accounts
Connect & configure to connect to Internet via modem or router using your preferred Broadband supplier.
Set-up one pop3 email account on outlook or outlook express
Connection and set-up of printing to one printer and set-up network printer sharing
Set-up 5 network shared folder

Advance PC Install
As part of your Advance PC setup, the engineer will:

Detailed set-up of user accounts, networks shared service, information on how to use the service, etc. will be carried out and charged for additionally.
 

Work group & Server install

Basic workgroup set-ups (min 2 PCs) include all the basic installation services plus setting up a network, security, shared folders and broadband access. Structured cabling and Remote Access can also be provided on application. Setting up and configuring a complex system is a specialist job. Only a trained IT specialist should be entrusted to configure an important business system. We can help you set up everything you need, right out of the box.

Connect & configure to connect to Internet via modem or router using a your supplier Broadband internet access service via Ethernet or Wireless
Set-up one pop3 email account on outlook or outlook express on each PC
Set-up access to standard default shared folders on each PC on the network
Set-up of one shared printer
Installation of LAN switch
Basic tutorial on use of all of the above is included as standard
LAN Cabling
Connection to existing installed LAN
VPN Set-up
 

Installation of Server Networks and other Complex requirements
Networking Complex requirements such as setting up and configuring VPN/ and Remote Access, installation of large LAN/WAN, integration to existing LAN, installation of fixed LAN cabling, complex disk array configurations, directory services, etc., can be arranged. These services require specialist personnel to visit your site to determine the detailed scope of requirements which will form the basis to a schedule of works and quotation.

Scoping visits are chargeable on a time and materials basis.
